Additive track always being prioritized when selecting controls

I’m making a character animation in Sequencer and added an additive track to offset the upper body by a certain amount. Now, whenever I select a control from the control rig it automatically starts trying to key in the additive track instead of the main animation track, which I don’t want. I’ve locked the additive track, but that doesn’t prevent it from being selected, it just prevents any keys from actually being created.

Is there a way to have my main animation track selected automatically? Or alternatively, is there a way to apply my additive track to my main animation track so that I only have one track again?

Did you ever find a solution? I’m frustrated by the same exact issue and haven’t found anyone else talking about it.

When there are multiple sections, you can right click on the section you want to key and select Key This Section.
