Additive Blend Mode Black in Viewport

I’d appreciate the help with an odd problem. Additive Blend mode in my UE5.2.1 and UE5.1 project is rendering black instead of transparent. I tested an older version of my project UE5.1 on a different computer and it renders correctly.

It seems to work in other scenes of mine running on 5.2 and 5.1. In fact, when I closed a working scene and reopened my project it worked for about five minutes before breaking again. This behavior has not repeated since.

I have the latest NVIDIA studio drivers on Windows and I’m verifying my 5.2.1 installation. My scene is using Lumen and Nanite.

Do you have any ideas why Additive Blend mode isn’t working in my project?

Also, I switched between DirectX 11 and DirectX 12 with no success.

SOLUTION

I had checked “Enable order independent transparency (experimental)” for use on some of my glass in the scene. Going into Project Settings and unchecking this setting fixed the problem.
