Additive animation problem

Apply Additive node scales the whole mesh up on a bone by bone basis(i assume) which causes the whole mesh to distort into a mess. What can be causing this? Is there some export\import setting i should uncheck?

I’m doing a double state machine setup, one for locomotion, one for upper body actions and i dont want to use montages for this.

I did set my additive anim to local space and picked a reference pose and I basically tested all settings i could find but to no avail
