I’d like a 1+2+2+1 layout - for
1Ds/2Ds on left,
4x small 2D in the middle
and on the right 1x big 3D, Help or Console.
Just right for a wide screen. Can’t have too many small 2D windows - 4 is ideal as there are 4 colour codes applyable.
And give the 2D windows the same info - green dot, no of matches, floating data panel, colour code border - as the 2Ds thumbnails.
Awesome, yes please!
Also I would like one layout with (apart from 1Ds and settings) three small windows on the bottom and one small one and a wider one on top. Like so:
____________________________________________________________________________
| 1Ds | 2D | 3D |
| | | |
| _________________________________________________________________
| | 2D | 2D | 2D |
| | | | |
____________________________________________________________________________
While we’re at it, even more windows, for super-wide monitor or RC spread over two monitors. So 3D, Help and Console can all be open at once.
And 1Ds/2Ds can be really wide so you can read all the 1Ds columns (sometimes 3 abreast) at once.
So basically you’re saying that RC should have a normal GUI like most other software, right? :-))
Ha! Well no - I like the pre-arranged windows, with dedicated purposes so easily selected.
Hello Tom,
how about the current 1+2+2+2 Layout? This seems to be accommodating your needs.
Not quite - the right hand 2 need to be a full-height 1, for viewing the 3D model. Or, variant, as Gotz’s diagram above.
For super-wide monitor or RC spread over two monitors, elsewhere there’s request for 1Ds and 2Ds to both be open at one. As well as my request above for even more 2D windows.
