Adding extra movement displacement while a root motion is playing on a character?

Is there any way where i can add extra displacement (to transform) while a root motion is playing on a character?

For example: my character is playing a combo (with complex root animation) i want to use the pre-made animation’s root motion curve but i want to amplify the movement towards enemy. (like batman Arkham games)
Specially for creating stickiness with enemies
