So I finally started working with characters, and the first thing I wanted to do was to get the old (female) mannequin and add a combat stance, so basically when you enter a combat area, character automatically changes the idle animation to one holding a weapon. later ofc i’m gonna add shooting animations and such, but I kinda don’t even know where to start. tips?
You should read through Epic’s documentation on their animation system. You simply need an animation blueprint, state machine and variables to direct which animation will be set on the skeletal mesh.
