adding a texture I found online for an asset

So, I am making a ballistics asset ( with bullet penetration, ricochet, damage, and more) and, because I didn’t want a square as my bullet hole, I found a texture online, edited it a bit to make the background transparent, and imported it, now it works, but I don’t know if I can submit it like this.

Greetings @Statercul1243

Welcome to the Unreal Engine Community Forums! In regards to the asset that you’re using, if this is in regards to publishing rights/copyright I’d start with checking Pixabay’s Terms of Service located here. I hope that this helps!

Hey @Statercul1243! Welcome to the forums!

By “submit” do you mean to the Marketplace? If so, then you can submit but make sure that you have the ability to find or make a backup (licensed CC-0 if taken from another source) that you can replace your texture with if that texture is not allowed to be redistributed.

Good luck in submitting!

Thank you, I found this link for the free content license: https://pixabay.com/service/license-summary/

and I am sure It’s ok to submit it to the marketplace since I modified it to make the background transparent, and it is not standalone, and it also doesn’t break Epic’s rule about public domain content: “Unmodified public domain content is limited to assisting with presentation, and sources are cited in the description”

I sent this message in case anyone else has a problem like this.
