Add Spline Points without Distorting Spline

I am trying to add spline points to an existing spline without distorting the spline. You can see in the image below the Blue Spline should match the White spline but does not. Would anyone be able to clue me in as to how to add a spline point using Blueprints while not distorting the spline? I would have expected the Add Spline Point at Index Node would have this behavior built in to it, or maybe a boolean option on the node to enable this.
