Add more than 1 UV Channel... why and how?

I’m told UE Marketplace requires static meshes have more than 1 UV channel. Relating guidelines that read:

2.3.3.c Static meshes must have no overlapping or wrapping UVs for lightmaps.

So my questions are:

  1. How can I add another UV channel?
  2. And why?

They’re very simple meshes created with UE’s modeling tools, so it’s odd they don’t meet requirements. But maybe that’s been updated in the tools. I know at least some were created in 5.0.

If you create a mesh using the editor tools, it only has the material UV

I think they probably want the lightmap UV also. You can

It is a bit nuts that their own software goes against their own regulations :slight_smile:
