Add DPI awareness for better UI display on high resolution displays

The native font size of Reality Capture is tiny on modern displays. I’m using a 27" display with a native resolution of 2560x1440. This is only moderately high DPI but the font in the RC UI is tiny. Just over 3mm tall text, which is a challenge for anyone without perfect eyesight.

According to Sysinternals Process Explorer on Windows 10 Reality Capture is “High DPI unaware”. This means that cranking up the scale through Windows 10 settings doesn’t play well with the app. Because the RC is DPI unaware Windows scales up the pixels of the UI as a last resort. This leads to larger but annoyingly fuzzy text.

I love the application but this is a significant barrier to use of such a text-heavy UI.

Thank you for your request dear user. Sorry for such unpleasant look of the GUI in your case.

How soon will this be fixed? Most applications have provided support for increased font size in Windows 10. I am new to RC and I found it surprising to see such a tiny font!

You can set the wanted size in the application settings (Workflow tab/Application/Settings/Visual and language settings):

Thank you
