As a Creator who finds Verse difficult to figure out, I currently don’t really have a way to have my game check if a transaction is owned, or how said transaction affects gameplay.
As of now I can make a transaction device, but that’s about all I can do without help.
So, my request is that there be an alternative for those who aren’t experienced enough with Verse to be able to make high-quality games and/or effective transactions all the same, thus being more small-creator-friendly.
Yeah the way they did it is pretty convoluted. I didn’t even wanna try to make sure the player has it usually I would just link the purchase to a stat creator device and set it to some number indicating it is owned. I’m surprised they didn’t make it a device since you can literally make a transaction that does absolutely nothing if you don’t set it up correctly
Exactly this. Unless you know a lot about Verse, and how to properly connect events between Verse devices and the rest of the game, you’re pretty much stuck with something that (as you said) doesn’t do anything. And something like that is actually against the Creator Rules to have in the game, thus locking Creators who can’t get into Verse out of using this feature altogether (without breaking rules, at least).
