Add a custom depth buffer to the forward renderer

My team is after someone to engineer a modification to the engine to restore custom depth buffer functionality to the forward renderer.

My two main lead-in questions are:

  1. Is it feasible?
  2. Time frame

Continuing to support the implementation through engine versions right up until Epic adds it back in themselves would be desirable. We’ll pay you for your time.
