Adaptive music based on proximity to a POI?

Hi,

I’m very new to all of this, but I’m trying to learn sound design for games and would like to implement adaptive music to my level. I have my 3 different wav files I’d like to alternate between based on player location. I haven’t been able to figure it out.

The key point would be to have all the songs start at the same time when I start the level (only you don’t hear them yet), however, the music volume would fade in and out depending on where you are. I’ve tried using trigger boxes and volume fade ins/outs so that when you enter a trigger box one song would fade in, and then when you move to the next one another one would fade in while the first fades out, but can’t make it work. Just overall, I have no experience and have just started out so don’t know what I’m doing.
