Adapt is a RTS style game. There’s only one unit which can change its role by equipping items. Units can become stronger and use more item abilities by merging with another unit of the same tier.
I’m currently the only developer, all assets were created by me. The core of the game is in C++ with exposed variables to blueprints. I’ve completed the foundation of my game and ready to sandbox/experiment with new items.
I Currently have three items in the game(Bow, Sword, Shield).
That’s looking really good I think. So far the characters and environment don’t seem to be out of place from each other. I think that main menu screenshot really has great atmosphere, too. Will you be able to go that low with the camera in the actual game as well, and have that kind of feel in some of the levels? It seems like it would be nice to watch them doing things in that kind of setting.
Also, I think that main game mechanic you thought of could really turn into something interesting as you develop it more. Is that going to be something where they meld together into one creature, creating a larger and stronger creature, or something where having multiple ones in the same group help and enhance each other? Moving together but still separate creatures. It sounded like the first one from your description, but I wasn’t sure.
