Hello. I am new to Unreal Engine. So, I have a fox mesh that I got in the marketplace. I created a basic level; I saved it in my maps folder. I placed the fox in the game, it has an input mapping context and input action parameter. After closing the editor and try opening again, the fox that I placed in the game is gone. I try to place the fox again in the game and try to drag and drop the specific parameters again. And if I closed the editor and open it again, the same problem is happening.
Make sure you’re saving the map after editing.
Also make sure that you’ve opened the right map. Unless you tell it to, Unreal will open the default map, not any one that you’ve created.
You can change this under Project Settings → Maps & Modes → Default Maps
Also, it’s very possible that the Fox is still there, and you just can’t see it. This is some stupid stuff done by the world partition in some default maps.
Check in your Outliner to see if it’s actually there. It will likely be greyed out.

Thank you. That saved me a lot of time from always setting up that parameter.
