Anyone else dealing with objects jumping positions, flashing into and out of existence and pieces of blueprints going missing when loading or after saving sequences?
Seems to have kicked in with Unreal 5 and, while the renders seem to turn out OK, it’s really a pain to work with a scene that is jumping around. After waiting for a while, the objects settle into a resting position, sometimes that position is incorrect and it takes moving them around to get them back to where they belong.
It seems like a caching issue or something where the sequence is fighting with the level for where to place objects? I don’t know enough about what’s going on under the hood really.
I’d share a screen recording, but all my files are confidential.
Can you try disabling thumbnails in the Shot or Camera Cuts track? There’s a bug where when the thumbnails update, it’s basically jumping throughout the sequence to render from that viewpoint. That might be what you’re seeing.
The issue I’m having occurs without thumbnails. Instead, actor’s positions wildly change, sometimes visibility as well. The cure is to wait for it all to calm down. And scrub before frame zero. Seems to reset everything… eventually.
