Actor will not destroy iteself with blueprint interface activation.

An item object will not destroy itself when I tell it to. I have a OnInteract Event that adds the item to the inventory and then destroys the actor, everything works except the destroy actor part. The destroy actor part does work however when I have OnEventBeginOverlap to be the triggering event.
