i am still in early states of learning unreal engine but i enjoy it a lot.
So now my problem is: I want my Sword Weapon Actor to check if my Character (ThirdPersonCharacterBP) is in an animation / check if “Boolean BaseAttacking” is true, to activate an effect on the sword.
I think it should be something like in my Screenshot, but like this i cannot compile, because i have nothing in the Object Slot of the “Cast to ThirdPersonCharacter” Node
I hope you understand what i want to do.
