Hi, i think i have a bug … when i place a “Event Begin play” or “Event tick” node in my ActorComponent Event graph and i press compile Unreal Engine freeze and i have to kill the app in task manager .
My actor component is used in my playerPawn BP and in my GameMode . Someone knows why i have this issue ?
Hey there @PepponeTV! This sounds like it could be a circular dependency, which could cause the crash. However without the crash logs, this is just speculation.
Is this a child actor component? Or just another actor that you attach (and make a child actor component out of)?
No worries, we’re always here. Are you attaching the character to the gamemode or just spawning it in world space from it? Since Gamemodes aren’t meant to house actors on it’s own, it can reference them but isn’t made to hold them. May I see your setup?
