accuracy and precision of body scans

Hi,

I’m wondering if anyone has any experience with measurements and this software, and in particular, for body measurements.

I realize there are several factors on which this depends. BUT … in general, has anyone looked into this?

For example, if I have enough good quality images to reconstruct a body mesh of myself, and I know that I am 182 cm, would the reconstructed mesh be 181.85 cm? 182.3 cm? Or could I end up with results like 175 cm?

If you set properly control points and this way scale, the precision is quite high, depending on camera setup but we can speak here about say 100-500 microns precision…
