Accesa to github

Hello, I’ve Connected my GitHub account to epic games account, but i havent recived any mail to get the repository, some one can help me?

Hey there @samba71! Welcome back to the community! Try checking your Github notifications, sometimes the emails don’t make it through but the Github notifications usually still receive it. If not, verify you followed each of the steps on this page then proceed to follow the steps below to reset everything.

If that didn’t work, try to reconnect the account following these steps. There is sometimes a rare issue when you request access to the org that doesn’t send the mail or notification after the accounts are successfully linked.

  1. Leave the epic organization in github
  2. Revoke the Oauth access in github
  3. Unlink your unrealengine and github account from unrealengine
  4. Re-link the accounts
  5. After that you’ll get the repo invite again and it should give you full access now.

Hello, @SupportiveEntity,
Yesterday before you wrote this message I tried to do these steps, but it not worked. I haven’t recived the notification throught email or on githib notification.
I read in this page:

that i need to be an Unreal Engine subscriber. that can be the problem?

You’re probably not receiving the mail since you’re not subscribed.
go to unrealengine.com, scroll all the way down to Newsletter, enter your email and subscribe.

After this i have to re connect my github account?

Yes, this will allow Unreal Engine to email you. so you should hopefully receive that email after you re-connect GitHub.

I didn’t know the subscription was necessary to receive the original, but that’s worth a try! Let me know how that goes!

In the meantime we can also try to see where the issue lies, and from there we can try to progress.

First, head over to this link which will bring you back to your account settings, then go down to apps and accounts and verify that Github is linked like this:

https://www.unrealengine.com/account/connections?lang=en-US

If so, next is to go over to your Github account and see if the organization itself is listed (likely isn’t since you didn’t get the email, but we’ve had issues where accounts couldn’t be sent invites because they were already a part of the org)

Then if that’s not there and we’ve already checked all spam folders and everything, and verified your email doesn’t have external protections (like some employers will filter emails before they make it to your mailbox) and you’d attempted the subscriber setup as mentioned before, we may need to look into other issues.
