AAA Quality Assault Rifle Asset Packs from Studios

Looking forward to it.

Hey @itsalwayssummer, you are right! The XM8 pack was launched before we perfected our walk animations (shown in the web demo) so we’ve gone ahead and updated the pack to include those animations. If you’ve purchased the weapon, you will get a notification that the update is live from Epic. We can’t really tell you how long it will take to process the update, but it’s been submitted. Thanks for your patience with this and for following up

Ah, okay. I’m glad to hear it! Hopefully it gets updated soon. Thanks for checking!

No problem @itsalwayssummer- thanks for letting us know. We’ll post on this thread once its been updated.

Also, this week the SKS Assault Rifle is ON SALE!

After buying a lot of your weapons assets, I must say they are great. But there is a big problem with them, compatibility between them. It goes you crazy to import the new assets into already bought assets folder, taking care of nothing to get overwrited. But most important problem with your assets is weaponSocket. It heritates directly from root bone, so if you have to edit in persona some bone, for instance hand socket, the weaponsocket wont move. Moreover, weapon socket is moved a bit between assets, making theme a bit incompatible. Besides that the assets are great. Please fix that or give solution, and thanks for doing that great job!

Hey @Arturogalaxy, thanks for being a customer and more importantly for sharing some valuable feedback. It’s super helpful for us to hear from you so we can make updates and improvements that folks want/need.

We’re working away on getting all of our weapons ready for 4.13, and in the process we are going to review and fix these issues. I can’t guarantee that it will happen overnight, but it will definitely happen.

We’re also looking at ways to add value to the pack, including adding VFX to all of our packs. Cheers and thanks again for your comments!

Thanks for the fast answer, waiting for that great improvements!

We had a comment over on the marketplace store pace and just wanted to make sure everyone knows where to find the static mesh for the AKS74U. Let us know if you have any other questions

i posted a reply on the market place for the question if you wouldn’t mind checking it out

Sure thing @rapiidzz901! Thanks for following up and being patient

Hello. I sent you a letter a couple of days ago, but I did not get an answer. If suddenly the letter does not reach, I will describe the problem in this thread.

I bought almost all of your weapons, but found a small problem with the XM8 rifle. It’s about the copy that is in the “Animated Rifle Variety Weapons Pack” package. The animation of the hands works fine, but the animations of the rifle do not work. Animation plays, but nothing happens. Even in the reload animation, there is no movement.

I hope for your help.

Do you have permission to use Kalashnikov trademark on your AK-47 rifle?

Thanks for reaching out. We recently updated the pack to fix the XM8 animations so if you want to check if you’re using the updated pack, let us know if you are still having an issue. Cheers!

There’s no issue with needing permission. We posted this back in 2015, but here’s another look at our statement for folks:

All logos and any other trademarked wording has been removed from the weapons themselves or changed to imaginary ones, so there are no trademarks, logos or company identifiers on the weapon models themselves. To mitigate any other risks we recommend continuing this trend forward into the UI and avoid using the copyrighted or company names when referring to the weapons themselves. We did a fair amount of research on the subject before beginning the creation process and from our standpoint you’re in safe waters here. In fact EA stopped paying licensing fee’s for all weapons almost 3 years ago and as you can guess it hasn’t impinged on their ability to use weapons that look identical in all of their games. Their legal argument was that an author doesn’t have to pay Colt for writing ‘The Marine lifted his <insert gun brand name here> and shot the badguy’ so why aren’t video games allowed the same leeway. Apparently it’s valid as they haven’t been forced to reverse their decision since. From the gun makers perspective it’s all free advertising, which would explain why you’ll be hard pressed to find record of an arms manufacturer ever issuing a cease and desist to any game/film studio or author. Now when it comes to other objects such as vehicles, it appears that the risks are higher that manufacturers would have issue with unauthorized use but with guns we seem safe for now as long as the weapons don’t have the logos plastered all over them, which ours don’t for this very reason.

Thanks for the answer, but the animations of the XM8 rifle do not work. After some testing, I found that the problem with XM8 animations arose in the engine version 4.15.1.
(The bullet does not disappear, the elements of the rifle do not move)
If you play animation in the engine 4.13.2, then everything works. In other versions of the engine, I did not check.

Did you purchase the XM8 separately or was it included as part of a pack?

It included as part of a pack Animated Rifle Variety Weapons Pack in Weapons - UE Marketplace

Animations Sks and Scar work without problems, but the animations XM8 does not work.
