ℹ️ About:

Dynamic Road System is a road creation tool that makes creating and editing roads easier than ever before. Create roads, intersections, and parking lots that adapt to your landscape!

⚠️ Important Note:

You must enable the Geometry Script plugin for this road pack to work. The geometry script plugin is a free plugin that comes with Unreal Engine 5, but it needs to be enabled in the plugins tab. If you copy or clone your project and no roads show up, please check to see if the plugin is enabled.

Features:

  • Procedurally create normal roads

    • Full customization options: height, width, grading percentage, lanes, lane width, road connections, end-to-end connection, LOD quality, automatic ground snapping, and support for custom materials (world aligned materials work best)

  • Create road connections at any angle

  • Roads can connect to intersections and parking lots

  • Roads can directly snap its locations to any terrain or object directly above or below it

  • Allows for baking to static mesh

  • In-built road lines on the main road system and road connection blueprint with advanced editing features

  • Road lines can also be made separate from roads with its own blueprint

  • Road customization including options for: height, width, grading percentage, and connected roads

Future Features:

⚠️This pack is still being worked on and some of these features are in beta, some are being finalized, and some are speculative with no guarantee of releasing but includes features we want to add to the pack

  • Complete C++ Overhaul

    • This pack is currently blueprint only (excluding the geometry script plugin), but we are moving it to have C++ components to significantly speed up math operations for road generation

  • Multithreading support

    • Significant performance boosts for those with multicore CPUs as intense math workloads will be shared among all core threads

  • Open Street Map support so you can use real-world roads in minutes

    • Was in beta and the first official version will be released soon (~Q1 2025)

💥Free Demo:

In an effort to show you, the customer, exactly what results you can expect from this road pack we are hosting a free downloadable project that has all the demo maps in the pack baked to static meshes. This does not include any of the blueprints of this pack, just the end results of the roads made from the blueprints. This demo is a couple updates old, and it will be updated when the C++ update comes out
