When I go to click on “deformation setup” I get an error if I click “yes” to skinning the proxy mesh, and I also get an error if I click “no” to skinning the proxy mesh. They’re two different errors, but they happen at the same step. I’m using maya 2017, with A.R.T tools from the Marketplace. I’ve tried rebuilding the rig with defaults and get the same error.
Its a name conflict. I had a material named “head”, which was causing an error in the script. After renaming it to something different, the script works fine.
