meh…
I get about 30 of those lol
Are you using the closed plane? or another texture on it? It’s not a big deal. ERRORs are what make you worry.
GRRRR its becoming unbearable using this **** kit.
I added sublevels FAR and NEAR…I put rocks in the FAR one for this section of the map. I save it…its all good and on the ground.
I open this up today and this is what most of the rocks look like…they are in the air. WHAT THE ****!!!
I’m getting annoyed and about ready to just quit as this Dev kit is in a **** state. Its like when we had to use Unreal 3 before it was finished to make a game on the 360…was UNBEARABLE.
oh and I almost forgot…I’m falling thru the world again…no idea why but it just keeps happening
Since the only two people that have even bothered to help me on here are avail…Angry and Uzumii…can you please help me sort thru this before I just say **** it and throw it all out.
PM me so you can send me what you got. I have someone that’s had to remake the entire thing already because of issues. NORMALLY these issues stem from issues from creation, the “Step 1” if you will, like a bad setup to begin with … and they just get 1000x more noticeable the farther along you go.
Isn’t that stuff caused by World Origin Rebasing being enabled? The assets moving from where they were placed last, that is. Falling through the terrain I’ve only seen caused by incorrectly defining the terrain as ground/terrain or I know there was an issue a little while back with people falling through the terrain regardless past a certain point, but I think that was because servers couldn’t handle the size of maps at the time, so that is probably something else entirely.

I got it - im taking a look at it now.
well - once these textures load … eventually … some day … with luck
Something is inherently wrong with your map. Things are getting worse the more i do anything. This was the same issue the last guy had. This boils down to not creating the map right to start with. The more i “find ground” on your near and far, the more off everything becomes. I can not check “enable world composition” on your primary for some reason. Last guys started over and he hasnt had an issue since. Well, nothing major. Very very minor stuff. My suggestion, is, i know no one wants to hear it, to start over. You can use your current lasndscape if you want, thats fine. But your initial setup (and this happened to me as well) was done wrong, so now, you are having serious issues.
how do I keep the landscape, as long as I can keep that. I will scrap everything else.
I used Brikwhuts video on youtube for creating the persistent level.
Start your new map and then cut and paste the landscape into it.
ugh, his video is a super outdated, missing a massive amount of details, but, good “day 1” beginners guide.
yeah that’s what i thought, if I can get my act together on this…i’d have no problem making a new updated video…i’m pretty good at that sorta ****
