Hi @anonymous_user_98dc406c,
i am complete new to UE4 and i did only basic Tutorials with Unity.
But i am interested in this Blueprint stuff, perhaps its not so hard to get into.
What i ask for.
I have a model (Drum Commander) and he has a little creature (drummer) on his back.
Should i rig and animate the both as one Object in Blender, or seperate the both and snap together with a helper, inside of UE4?
For the beginning i want to do five different idle states for both and randomnize the sets, to get some nice variation.
Some sort of visual soundmixing. Perhaps more drummers and they can “connect” to some BPM to make beats?
Are there tutorials about UE4, about that animation/sound/stuff?
Forgive me my bad english.
Best regards Bauch
Have them be together. It will give you less problems in the future, plus you only have one mesh to worry about when something goes wrong.
Pretty sure you can have them as one object and blend them doing this

I personally would also keep the together
The link that Ispheria posted is a pretty good tutorial series to get into animation bp’s and other animation stuff.
Are you from Germany? When yes, make sure to say “hi” to all the other german speaking members
