A plugin's developer is asking me to delete my 1-star review before refunding me. Is that OK?

As mentioned, I bought a plugin whose installation process was completely broken. It was supposed to come with a template, but looking at the template’s folder I only see the plugin copied there.

I checked their Discord server and noticed that this issue has been happening for a few weeks now, and it seems that it only fails with UE 5.4

I asked for support but didn’t receive any and their documentation was outdated sometimes and other it was just plain and factually wrong.

I left them a 1-star review.

Now the developer is asking me to delete my review before giving me a refund. Is that OK?
I couldn’t find anything in the Epic Games store guidelines about that. And even if he shouldn’t be ‘bribing’ me, how can I report that? I coudn’t find anything remotely close to this in Epic’s support system.

That seems a bit strange.

The refund process is handled by Epic, not the seller - and afaik your review is removed when you get a refund.

Thanks! I wasn’t aware of that. I’ll just ask Epic for the refund and be done with it. This way both will be happy, I’ll have my refund and the developer of the plugin will have my review gone.
