A Couple of Questions about Destructible Meshes

So first time using Destructible meshes in UE4 and I am a little confused on some things

  1. Is it possible for the Destructible mesh debris to shrink to nothing when they die instead of just disappearing? The default settings just make the meshes disappear and it is kinda disorienting,
  2. How much do DM’s impact performance? is having 100+ Low poly objects with 25 piece fractures each going to make a huge hit on performance?
  3. I wanted to use the players total DMs destroyed as a type of score system, is there anyway to get this as a variable without calculating every collision?
