A cosine function with extended period?

Hi guys! This is my first post so be gentle :slight_smile:
I m having difficulty in reproducing this function:

I simply cannot recreate it inside the material. Thing is, it works somewhat down the line right until I decide to divide the top with the bottom. The x represents the time ofc and the a represents the period

Hey @Sledbenik
Could you share how you’re inputting the formula? It could possibly be a problem with your order of operations/parentheses. More info would be a great help!

Here is what I have…the idea is that when something appears it stays for some extended period and then it vanishes for some extended period. The blinking part is working too fast in my opinion.

@Sledbenik
I think you’ve got the formula inputted correctly! Since you think it’s firing too fast though, you might have to change the cosine function to have an even longer wavelength. I hope this helps!

Hi all,

It might not directly solve the problem, but the content examples sample project has a neat level ‘Math Hall’ with some BPs for representing graphs.

Could be worth checking out for function testing or alternate approaches!

Thank you I will try this definitely. This is going to become one of the most useful things to me :smiley:
