Ray Traced Translucency has artifacts in large open worlds and won't be fixed, why? UE-157005

Hi There,

About a month ago I submitted an issue through the UE bug submission form about ray traced translucency having artifacts when further from the world origin Unreal Engine Issues and Bug Tracker (UE-157005) . However, it now has the flair ‘Won’t fix’. Which I found quite remarkable as in my eyes the feature is rather useless in large open worlds this way.

Has anyone here noticed the same issue? (If not you might see it for yourself by following the steps in the bug submission) Maybe a workaround?. I would like to know a bit more about the reason why this is issue is being ignored, maybe even from Epic themselves if anyone of the staff is reading my post? I respect that this may be the decision made but then atleast let me know why this decision has been made.
