So, one of the maps I remember most clearly out of a ton of FPS games and maps is Facing Worlds. The raw, open nature of the map and constant feeling of danger combined with fast, action filled gameplay fascinates me still. So this map attempts to recreate the same chaos and excitement I felt playing that map decades ago.
6-Face keeps the wide, open layout of the original and its successors, but is designed to have extra chaos and a lot more options for a much bigger on-server player set. Instead of two flags and islands, there are six cards and islands. Players can take cards to adjacent islands for 2 points (once per capture at an opposite island) but need to take a card all the way across the map to get a full 10 points.
Travel is faster, because there are ziplines and helicopters all over the place. But still, there are only two entry points to each island - the bridge and a zipline to the top of the tower. A central silo with twin spiral staircases allows either team to take control and project map control out from that center.
When the server has few players, guards will spawn for each capture point, snipers will spawn at the top of the tower, and each team has guards spawning in the center of the map so players are always - no matter the team size - a little on their toes. As teams grow larger, the guards spawn progressively more slowly unless the teams get unbalanced.
Anyways. I’m enjoying playing it solo, but it would be nice to have others to play with and some feedback on my first foray into UEFN / Fortnite Creative.
