I get a 500 error during installation . What should I do ?

Hey there @farbodmm1! Welcome to the community! Error-code 500 often indicates a connection failure with the download server.

When is the error occurring? When navigating the launcher itself or when selecting to download the engine or asset?

Error 500 is actually an internal server error.

It is on the side of the server not the client.

I’m guessing maybe it was a temporary problem on the side of the epic team (maybe they were pushing a hotfix or changing a server config file / .htaccess file) leading to an error on their machine used to distribute the engine.

Try the installation at a later time, perhaps they will clear up the error on their side.
