Hello, could you bring some more precision? WHat do you mean by “get body from template and use body preview”?
I’m trying to have this to work since the release but to no avail.
In local metahuman creator > select head or body. Options to sculp, blend or conform. Choose conform. Then “import DNA”, “From Template” should be the options to get a premade head or body. I don’t understand how both work, I just tried until it worked…
Ok, that’s what I do. My goal is to transform a chracter I did in blender to a metahuman. I managed to import the head through an identity that I had made in engine. However I didn’t manage to import the body. I tried to export the default body as a fbx, then conform it to my mesh in blender and then reimport it as a conform template, and I either get the “not compatible topology” or some sort of blob of triangles.
I guess the faces order get messed up during the process, but I can’t figure out how to do it properly.
@MasterOfCows Hi there, i’m facing the same problem, did you find a solution? I imported a legacy metahuman DNA into the mh editor in ue 5.6, then I went to the body tab and selected f_nrw_tal_preview body but now I have the head too low compared to the body. Any fix? any tip pls? yours is the only post I’ve found regarding this matter. ty
