5.2.0 Editor fails to detect XCode on MacOS Sonoma Beta

I am running MacOS Sonoma 14.1 Beta, and unlike previous betas, the Unreal Editor fails to start because it cannot detect XCode. XCode 15 beta is installed, but the same issue occurs with 14.3.1. XCode is installed in Applications like it’s supposed to be.

What error are you getting specifically? Are you running an Apple Silicone Mac or an Intel one? Are you compiling the Engine from source?

For whatever reason, UE5 is incapable of detecting XCode on MacOS Sonoma, so you will need to install the command line tools manually (or reinstall if you had them previously). After that, UE5 will boot.

This is on Apple Silicon

Can’t run Unreal Engine because Xcode is Beta?
After all, it can only be executed with the official version of Xcode??

You have a problem with the name of Xcode. All you have to do is rename “Xcode beta” to “Xcode”
