What happened to it? I have scoured youtube/forums/5.1 documentation, to no avail.
Hey @el.ganz.andere! Welcome to the forums!
I donât remember there being an open world template packaged with the engine. Is there a possibility that itâs a template you brought in from another source? The Marketplace? Artstation? You can use any template file you find, they just have to match the UE version to be used There are a few on the marketplace, and I believe there are some free ones out there as well.
Wasnât there an additional option, along the lines of âBlankâ - though it was all pre-configured for World Partition & such. I am familiar with the 3rd party Marketplace Item bearing the same name, though I swore it was âout-of-the-box.â
Appreciate your reply!
When you choose to make a new level map you have the option of using the large world map setup.
It enables world partition and adds some terrain. Maybe that is what you are refering to?
Hey there @el.ganz.andere! Welcome to the community! Exactly as Raven had put it, Iâm just here to add some visuals! In your blank project, head up here:
then choose the open world template and youâll have a preconfigured open world setup!
The previous open world content project is now in engine directly as a template.
That is it; thank you.
5.0 was my âintroductory versionâ - I believe itâs relocation in 5.1 was what caught me off-guard?
@SupportiveEntityâs description above:
âThe previous open world content project is now in engine directly as a template.â
Much gratitude to the both of you for the quick clarification.
May I post follow-up questions here, or is it preferred that I create a new entry?
Itâs dependent on the content of the question usually! Itâs recommended to start a new thread for questions that arenât tied to your previous in the same thread. So say if this solved it for you, youâd mark Ravenâs answer as a solution and that would effectively end this thread (doesnât lock it though). Then when you have a new question youâd open it under the appropriate location in the forums!
