Earlier this week I had a project stop working. Everything: every material, texture, lighting, and fog element either renders white or glitches like crazy.
In these ‘glitched-out’ Projects the starting level always renders poorly from the time I open Unreal.
From there, other levels within the project either don’t load or load all white.
If I create a new ‘Open World’ level in the project it renders like this:
Finally, if I turn off the lighting in my other levels I can see my models better, but they render things in the background in front of things in the foreground. You can see in this subway car shot, the seats in the back are appearing over the seats in the front
Things I’ve tried:
Updated my Graphics Card driver.
Reinstalled Unreal 5.01
Recreated my Derived Data folder
Today this issue has happened again with another project, which is devastating. I’ve put weeks of effort into this project and I’m desperate to save all my work. I don’t know what caused the issue. I was rendering out a cinematic when it started happening again. It seems like when this happens to projects they’re lost.
I don’t know if this started happening before or after I updated to 5.01.
ANYONE have ANY idea what this is?
Is this some sort of Lumen or graphic card issue?
Is it a corrupt project?
