Is impossible visualize in my 5.0.3… or 5.1… help?

Hey there @D3d! How are you activating the visualizer? Is the Nanite visualizer not shown under Show → Nanite Visualization?

Nanite doesn’t work if you don’t have directX 12.
Also you have to specify it when exporting the FDX file.

When is it advisable to use Nanite?
High Poly only? Or Low Poly too?

It’s mostly used with high poly assets so many developers use hybrid setups, if your asset is tiny you won’t really receive much extra benefit out of nanite. If you test a low poly asset with nanite you’ll usually see little to no changes at any distance due to it already being quite low poly. That said there’s not too many downsides to only using nanite meshes besides the fact that much higher poly objects cost more storage but only if you don’t fully go down the nanite pipeline (ie retaining normal maps and things are just excess storage because now that you have nanite you need them even less).

You can check out more info on the docs page, it goes into it a bit better in the data size section:

Thank you very much for your response

I already fixed the bug, before you need to have a minimum nanite mesh converted and staged, before using the overview. Curious but it was fixed by doing that.
