Poor VR performance in 4.25

Hi there,

I recently started working on a VR project using 4.25. However, I noticed that the performance were quite bad compared to what I was used to in previous versions of the engine. I can achieve a stable 40 fps in 4.23 on the same project (which I know is already not good for VR) but I can’t get above 10 fps in 4.25.

Moreover I noticed the standalone preview shows a lot of artefact which thankfully don’t show on the HMD screens but I figured it might be an indicator of an issue.

I have a RX480 (on the latest stable drivers) so I’m not expecting insane performances but at least something I can work with. Given I’m getting no errors it is quite difficult for me to find a solution to this …

Anyone has experience similar difficulties?
