404 at GitHub

I have the same problem.Never receive the email from GitHub.
Try unlinking and relinking, didn’t help.
When login GitHub,never seen the “Join” button.
What should I do?

1. Uncheck “Keep my email address private” in GitHub account settings.
2. Change Email Preferences to “Receive all emails, except those I unsubscribe from.”
3. Fork the open EpicGames/Signup Repository to help establish a link [this may have replaced the join button and subsequent invitation].
4. Reconnect your GitHub account in UE [Note the above fork will remain active throughout the process]

The GitHub repo for UE4 (and any forks of UE4) are private and won’t show up unless you are logged into GitHub, and have your GitHub ID linked to your Epic ID. Check out Unreal Engine on GitHub

Github should make use of the proper status code 403 (forbidden) not 404 (not found)…

I found a solution. You are supposed to verify your linked account. You will get a email after you link the account to verify.

Yes I have the same thing - linked my github account to my Epic account on UE4 website but get 404 error when clicking the link.

I had the same problem. I followed the steps to link my GitHub account with my Unreal account, and it showed as linked in Unreal. I had gotten an email from GitHub that was a security alert about the linking to Unreal. Clicking a URL in that email, it looked like the accounts were linked in GitHub. I was still seeing 404 when I tried to access UnrealEngine in GitHub, even when I was logged in to both my GitHub account and my Unreal account.

However, the email I used to sign up for an Unreal account was not the primary email on my GitHub account (though it was one of the emails linked to my GitHub account). When I checked the email that was my primary email for GitHub, I did see the email with the invite. I was then able to accept the invite and access UnrealEngine on git.

Old thread lol, but if you are here in 2022 the answer is:

Sign into Unreal
Sign into GitHub
Connect Unreal and Github account
Check the email you signed into GitHub with
Confirm your access to the Unreal Admin Team in the email they sent you.

I completed all the steps and the accounts are linked, but the last email with the invitation does not arrive and there is no join button.

I went back to UE connections and my connection between Epic and Github was removed - after I connect those accounts again, email with join button came immediately
