Create a widget with a texture
Save it, add it to another Main Widget.
Launch the game in PIE, you should see the texture.
Now edit the Texture widget and add a Text block.
Save and launch in pie, now you can see the text
Change the text color
Save and launch in pie, the Color is not updated.
Close the editor and launch again and you will be able to see the colors changes.
I hope you can repro this on your side.
The changes won’t be reflected also in the main UI widget.
More, if you change things while the MainUI is changed (in size for example), it is not refreshed until you close en reopen the widget.
I don’t know if there is a live update on custom widget but this is clearly something to add in the UMG list if it’s not already there.
I was unable to reproduce this issue on our end. I have a few questions for you that will help narrow down what issue it is that you are experiencing.
- Can you reproduce this in a clean project?
- If so, could you provide a more detail list of steps to reproduce this issue on our end?
- Could you provide screen shots of your designer graph and your blueprints?
- Could you provide a screen shot of the issue that you are seeing?

I try to reproduce it on a clean project in 4.7.6 and also in my project and everything works as expected. I will reopened it if I can reproduce the issue. It might be that it was link to a lot of hotreloading including UMG Class. For the moment keep it as resolved.
