4.5 Where is 'Import Rigid Mesh'

Hey all,

Once again the question kinda says it all.
I’m trying to import a mesh with some animation on it and I can not find the ‘Import Rigid Mesh’ option anywhere in the new exporter.

Can anyone please tell me where it is hiding?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Enable Import as Skeletal in the dialog box and make sure import mesh is enabled. That should be enough.

Hm, If it’s not skinned it greys out the import buttons.
So far I’ve tried it the old way, with the animation on the object; I tried making joints myself and parenting the pieces to them; I tried exporting the joints separately so that I can parent the meshes to them later.

Weird. Today i imported a door with it’s case; door Linked to the case in 3ds Max, nothing skinned…and it imported just fine. Have you played with export settings? Maybe there is something you are missing.

I tried everything I can think of.
The only difference I see here is you’re using Max and I Maya.
