From the editor view the game seems fine, but when you click play it becomes blury. I attempted a fresh fps project for 4.2 and 4.4 and it proved it. Everything is low res bad in comparison and I have no idea how to fix. I accidently updated my main project and cannot downgrade any of my files properly it seems… Basically I am screwed if you do not fix this…
Report this at AnswerHub with a screenshot of your problem please.
What and where is answer hub ?
I noticed the same thing on PIE nopt sure on other modes. For me it looks like resolution scaleing
Interesting issue, yeah http://answers.unrealengine.com is the way to go
If you go into quick settings > engine scalability settings and drag that slider all the way to the right side does that fix it? It did for me.
I had a similar problem and this is the thread that I started I hope it helps.
Hmm I wonder if the screen percentage has been changed in the basescalability.ini file to automatically re-size at lower quality settings? Something I’ll check out, because it does the same for me also the lighting changes. Everything appears brighter (yes I disabled eye adaption)…
The blurriness was happening to me also about a week ago. I changed the engine scalability quality(just swap to lower and back to preferred) in the editor and as soon as I did that it just went back to normal (I have no clue why). Try it out to see if it helps.

&stc=1[EDIT] oops I just noticed that’s also what IllpIll wrote
Yeah, I have the same issues with blurryness… trying out the Engine Scalability Settings now. Thanks! ![]()
Search for basescalability.ini under Program Files\Unreal Engine\4.4\Engine\Config, then change the post process to the following for all levels ( if you wish). Epic can you add a global camera post option? So we don’t have to mess around with various post process locations in PIE and then have to tweak scalability settings anyway? We could do with one Universal remote, post process volumes are good and so are base scalability options for modders but we could really do with an all-in-one.
[PostProcessQuality@1]
r.MotionBlurQuality=3
r.AmbientOcclusionLevels=1
r.AmbientOcclusionRadiusScale=1.7
r.DepthOfFieldQuality=1
r.RenderTargetPoolMin=350
r.LensFlareQuality=0
r.SceneColorFringeQuality=0
r.EyeAdaptationQuality=0
r.BloomQuality=4
r.FastBlurThreshold=2
r.UpsampleQuality=2
r.TonemapperQuality=0
r.LightShaftQuality=0
r.ScreenPercentage=100
I deleted the ini files in the project and opened the level and it resolved the graphic issues
