I upgraded to 4.4.2 today and noticed that any animations that come in the Third Person Blueprint example do not loop properly. I’ve made a new project, I’ve copied the animations from older versions, nothing works. It seems like a frame is cut off at the end of the animation and thus it doesn’t loop, there is always a “pop” in the animation that makes it quite obvious something is wrong.
Not sure what could be causing it but it happens to all looping animations.
I’m running Windows 7. Drivers up to date. No issues in earlier version of the editor.
‘Looping Interpolation’ is no longer true by default (there used to be a little checkbox). See this thread for more info, including how to add the extra frame back in: LINK
Good luck!
Hi,
I’ve followed the instructions here but the animation is still popping incorrectly. Will Epic be updating the TPP animations so that this extra step isn’t necessary?
Hi,
Yeah, we definitely should. This has popped up for several different people. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Hi Ray, ‘the looping interpolation’ function does not work correctly for me as it adds the first frame to the end the speed between the last two frames is too fast creating a twitch as before. Do you know or can you find out please if this bug will be fixed soon, otherwise I’d have to edit in external software and reimport hundreds of my own animations. Thanks
Hi .
Sorry for the trouble. Do you mind submitting a bug report with specific info on what you’re seeing? I’m happy to forward this thread to one of the animation programmers, but an actual bug is probably the best way to make sure this doesn’t fall off the radar.
Thanks!
