4.3 only finds one tree from SpeedTree when I try to import

I can finally start to work on my open-world post-apocalyptic survival game, now that the SpeedTree modeler is finally working with Unreal Engine 4.
But when Im importing a tree, the Unreal Engine importer only finds one of my trees that i created in the modeler. I saved them in the samples folder for
the SpeedTree modeler. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

Here you can see that only one tree appears when Im importing.

I’m assuming that you’re using an older version of the SpeedTree modeler? Because, the Unreal Engine 4 version has yet to be released. Thus, you’re likely using trees exported from SpeedTree 7, which aren’t compatible directly with UE4.

However, if I recall correctly, the SpeedTree folks mentioned in the Twitch stream that trees created with SpeedTree 7 would be able to be taken into the new modeler, then exported from there. Then, they’ll supposedly work. Though, I’m not sure if that’s changed since.

For the time being though, you’ll likely have to wait on the release: http://www.speedtree.com/ue4/subscription.php - hopefully it’s soon, I’m awaiting on it also!

He might, like me be using the pre-release version of Speedtree for UE4.

The SRT file that Unreal can import should be generated when you save the tree from the Modeler. If that’s not happening, perhaps you hit a bug.

Use “save as with assets” from the Modeler to save a tree that is causing problems into an empty folder (that ensures all its textures and meshes are copied locally). Then zip up that folder and send it to support@speedtree.com. We’ll take a look.

Yes, Im using the Unreal Engine 4.3 preview. SpeedTree Modeler version is v7.0.6. Thanks for your help
Ill send a .zip.
