(4-27) Unable to Change Game Mode via Options UE 4.27

Hey Everyone,

I was working on my game and trying to change the default game mode using the Options of host game.

I am sending the option
?Game=/Game/FPS/Blueprints/GameModes/TeamDeathmatch/BP_KOTH_GM_TR.BP_KOTH_GM_TR_C

But it then seems to still load the default Game mode ignoring the game mode I am passing.

But the game plays as the default game mode, not the KOTH I pass in the BP or that is says is loading in the logs. I’ve tried compiling the game and playing separate from editor and it has the same issue. Curious if anyone else has hit this. I’ve also tried changing the default to KOTH but then it will only use KOTH when loading, ignoring the options for other modes.

If I figure out on my own I will share if anyone else has experienced and knows or has an idea any help is much appreciated.

So I feel really Dumb but the Game state got reset to the parent in my game mode. It was setting the Game mode correctly as shown above but resetting to the default game state. Which is why it seemed like it didn’t change game modes.

I knew I would figure it out as soon as I shared but thank you anyways. Leaving here if anyone else does something similar.
