[4.27] Shadows cast on translucent particles disappear at distance

Hey there!

I am playing around with Niagara and lighting and I made translucent smoke that’s supposed to cast and receive shadows. Now the casting works fairly well with [Translucent Particle Shadow Casting][1] and the shadows cast on the material look rather natural at close range too:

But when the translucent particles receive dynamic shadows from static meshes, the shadows disappear at pretty close distance.
