4-25 How to set OnMouseHover and OnMouseLeave on Widgets?

Hello all,

I don’t understand how everybody except me can set a mouse hover and mouse leave event on their widget. I saw from 3 different questions that we can do it:

I created a custom widget that is basically just a NamedSlot with the OnMouseEnter and OnMouseLeave events defined in the event graph. This works fine and the events fire correctly when used in my UI. However, when adding a SpinBox to the custom widget (see screenshot how it looks like), the events do not fire correctly while dragging the spinbox. Basically, everytime the mouse would leave the widget without dragging, the event is fired. But the mouse never moves, as it is always on the slider. …

UMG: Is there a way to make Slider handle hovereffect?

I noticed that the Slider does not seem to have hover settings like ie. buttons do. So either im missing something or is there a way to make the same behavior as buttons, where you can assign a different image and tint for when it’s hovered?

[Solved] UMG OnHovered event for non-button controls

I’m creating a menu with a classic JRPG look, but for convenience, I also want it to be usable with the mouse. [umgmenumissingonhovered.png] UMG Button controls have an ‘OnHovered’ event that works for me, but for some reason the ‘OnHovered’ event is not consistently implemented across controls. There are hover styles for the sliders and checkboxes, so both types of controls apparently know when the cursor is over them, but they don’t expose this. What’s the best workaround? However I created my own slider BP class with the base slider as a parent and I still can’t catch these events. Only time I can catch these events are on interfaces without being able to specify the target… what’s the point of knowing when the mouse enters or leaves the entire interface? 0_o
