Hey there, I just got an error after opening my project on a new PC.
Everything seemed to work perfectly at first. All the code compiled and all Blueprints are intact. But all umap files lead to the editor crashing when I try to open them. I get this error when the editor crashes:
Fatal error: [File:D:/Build/++UE4/Sync/Engine/Source/Runtime/Core/Private/Serialization/Archive.cpp] [Line: 670] BulkData compressed header read error. This package may be corrupt!
I’ve already tried to deleted the Intermediate, Saved and Binaries folders and I tried to replace the map files with backups from the saved folder. I also tried deleting the map’s builddata but nothing worked. This problem occurred on version 4.25 and 4.27. My new pc has Windows 11 while the old one had windows 10 installed.
Does anyone have any clue on what may have happened to these files?
