4.24 Landscape "Compiling Shaders" destructive to productivity / Please Help!

I have noticed recently, I cannot pinpoint where, there is something going on with “Compiling Shaders” that is killing productivity.

  • I decided to create a sanitized environment to eliminate or diagnose the problem to no avail.
  • I have created a new project file, created an empty map with a small landscape.
  • As soon as I add a number of different 3rd party landscape materials it immediately starts an unforgivable 55k shader compilation.

It feels like something has changed within the editor, as of recent, that is causing this constraint?

This is a critical issue, even on monstrous machine configurations. I’ve tried three machines during this process of debugging the issue.

I’d appreciate any constructive advice on how to resolve the issue.
