Have attempted to get the realtime Raytracing features enabled, and have turned on raytracing within project settings which has prompted a restart.
It’s a blank scene but is trying to compile around 6000 shaders which takes a long time. Have asked the question before but still none the wiser as to why this seems to take such a long time?
Hardware upgrade could help. There is this trick Improving UE4 Shader Compile Times | Rhyce.dev but it requires engine build from source. If you don’t want to build an engine from source or if you want to boost, even more, try out Incredibuild. It speeds up compile and build time. It’s easy to use, just install it, unreal will use it automatically.
